Pursuant to a notice posted on March 8, 1999, the House
Committee on Appropriations met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the chair, Representative Robert Junell at
8:12 am.
The roll was answered as follows:

General Services Commission
(Representatives Cuellar, West, Coleman and Turner now
present.)
Representative Heflin moved the adoption of pending items.
Add LBB report on Performance Measures to track completion of
construction projects, General Services Commission
Construction Management rider and Overcharge Settlement Funds
Rider. Without objection, the motion was adopted.
Representative Junell moved the adoption of the Release
General Obligation Super Conducting Super Collider Bonds
rider. Without objection, the motion was adopted.
General Land Office
Representative Heflin moved the adoption of the following
pending item: Coastal Erosion Control Contingency Rider -
Option 2. Without objection, the motion was adopted.
Department of Transportation
Representative McReynolds moved the adoption of the following
pending items: Additional Funding for Public Transportation
rider. Without objection, the motion was adopted.
At 9:48 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.
The committee reconvened at 11:47 am and was called to order
by the chair, Representative Junell. The roll was answered as

Representative Hochberg moved the adoption of Subcommittee
recommendations. Without objection, the motion was adopted.

Representative Junell moved the adoption of LBB
recommendations. Without objection, the motion was adopted.
Article XII
Representative Junell moved the adoption of LBB
recommendations. Add Contingency Rider for HB 1767 (Giddings
#1). Without objection, the motion was adopted.
Architectural Examiners
Representative Pitts moved the adoption of the following
pending item: In-State Study Exam rider. Without objection,
the motion was adopted.
Criminal Justice Pending Items
Representative Turner moved the adoption of the following
pending items: JJAAEP Accountability (Turner #1) Additional
Funding for Office of the Attorney General Welfare Reform
(Turner #2), Technology Purchase for 4th Court of Appeals
rider (Cuellar #1). Without objection, the motion was
adopted.
Health and Human Services Pending Items
Representative Glaze moved the adoption of the following
pending items: Method of Finance Changes for TANF Funding,
Limitation of Specific Strategy Transfers for MHMR (Staples
#1) and Vocation Rehabilitation Services Exceptional Item.
Without objection, the motion was adopted.
At 2:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
