         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 23, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         work session and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Talmadge Heflin at 8:15 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Luna, Vilma; Puente; Tillery  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Flores (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. The Subcommittee discussed pending  
         budget items. 
          
         (Representative Flores now present.)   
          
         At 9:55 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until the adjournment of the House. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 10:58 am and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Heflin.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Puente;  
                   Tillery (5). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. The Subcommittee discussed pending  
         budget items. 
          
         At 12:09 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
