         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 17, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         work session and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Talmadge Heflin at 1:36 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Flores Heflin; Puente; (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Luna, Vilma: Tillery (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. Testimony was taken.  (See attached  
         witness list.) 
          
         (Representatives Luna and Tillery now present.)   
          
         At 4:36 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until  
         6:00 pm 
          
         The committee reconvened at 6:20 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Heflin.  The roll was answered as  
         follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Luna, Vilma; Puente; Tillery  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Flores; (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. Testimony was taken.  (See attached  
         witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Flores  now present.) 
          
         At 9:00  pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
