         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 9, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         work session and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Talmadge Heflin at 1:48 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Tillery  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Puente (1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Subcommittee discussed pending budget items. 
          
         At 2:28 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
