         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 19, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government and the  
         House Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Health and Human  
         Services  met in a joint work session and was called to order  
         by Chairman Talmadge Heflin at    7:40 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Puente;  
                   Tillery (5). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Subcommittees discussed pending budget items. 
          
         At 8:12 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
