         Pursuant to a notice posted on June 15, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on General Government met in a  
         public hearing and was called to order by the chair,  
         Representative Heflin, at 9:07 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Puente  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Tillery (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.  Testimony was taken.  (See attached  
         witness list.) 
          
         At 12:09 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 1:15 p.m., July 12, 2000. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:20 p.m. and was called to order by  
         the chair,  
         Representative Heflin. The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Heflin; Flores; Luna, Vilma; Puente  
                   (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Tillery (1). 
          
         A quorum was present.  Testimony was taken.  (See attached

         At 4:29 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
