         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 17, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Regulatory met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative  
         Jim Pitts at 8:12 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Pitts; Gutierrez; McReynolds;  
                   Pickett (4). 
          
         Absent:   Representative Paul Moreno(1). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 9:28 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
