         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 7, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Appropriations-S/C on Tobacco met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Dianne Delisi, at 11:50 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Delisi; Farrar; Gallego; Giddings;  
                   Gutierrez; Janek; Staples; Van de Putte; West,  
                   George "Buddy" (9). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         Representatives Glaze, Heflin, Pickett, McReynolds and Junell  
         also present. 
          
         At 12:40 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
