         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 8,  
         1999, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Barry  
         Telford at 11:20 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Telford; Hilbert; Cuellar; Dutton;  
                   McCall; Sadler; Siebert; Thompson; Turner, Sylvester  
                   (9). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Brimer; Danburg (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Chair recognized Rep. Sadler who moved to place SB290 on  
         the Emergency Calendar for Wednesday, March 10, 1999.  The  
         motion prevailed by the following record vote: 
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Telford; Hilbert; Cuellar;  
                        McCall; Sadler; Siebert; Thompson; Turner,  
                        Sylvester (8). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      Representative Dutton (1). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Brimer; Danburg (2). 
          
         At 11:22 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
