         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 18,  
         1999, the House Committee on Calendars met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Barry  
         Telford at 10:46 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         Absent:   Representatives Hilbert; Cuellar; Sadler; Thompson  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Chair recognized Rep. McCall who moved to adopt  a  
         proposed rule for consideration for CSSB 7.  The motion  
         prevailed by the following record vote: 
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Telford; Brimer; Danburg;  
                        Dutton; McCall; Siebert; Turner, Sylvester (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Hilbert; Cuellar; Sadler;  
                        Thompson (4). 
          
         At 10:47 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
