Pursuant to a notice posted on April 8, 1999, the House
Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was
called to order by the Chair, Representative Pat Haggerty at
2:49 pm.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Haggerty; Staples; Allen; Culberson;
Ellis, Dan; Farrar; Gray; Lengefeld; Longoria (9).
Absent: None (0).
A quorum was present.
Tony Fabelo, Ph.D. gave an overview on Special Needs Parole.
Dee Kifowit gave an overview on Special Needs Parole.

The chair laid out HB 1315.
The chair recognized Representative Glenn O. Lewis to explain
the measure.

The chair laid out HB 3250 as pending business.

Representative Ellis, Dan offered a complete committee
substitute.
The committee substitute was adopted without objection.
Representative Ellis, Dan moved that HB 3250, as substituted,
be reported favorably to the full house with the
recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion
prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: Representatives Haggerty; Staples; Allen;
Culberson; Ellis, Dan; Farrar; Gray; Lengefeld

Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representative Longoria (1).
At 5:28pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,
the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
