House Committee on Corrections 
         76th Legislature 
         May 17, 1999 
         Upon lunch recess 
         House Chamber 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17,  
         1999, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Pat Haggerty at 12:15 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Haggerty; Staples; Ellis, Dan;  
                   Lengefeld; Longoria (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Allen; Culberson; Farrar; Gray (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The chair directed that the May 4, 1999 minutes for the House  
         Committee on Corrections be corrected.  The corrected minutes  
         were authorized without objection. 
          
         At 12:20 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
