         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20,  
         1999, the House Committee on Corrections met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Pat Haggerty at 1:00 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Farrar; Lengefeld; Longoria (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Ellis, Dan; Gray (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out SB 22 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Haggerty moved that SB 22 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Haggerty; Staples; Allen;  
                        Culberson; Farrar; Lengefeld; Longoria (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Ellis, Dan; Gray (2). 
          
         SB 447 
          
         The chair laid out SB 447.   
          
         Representative Staples moved that SB 447 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:

                        Culberson; Farrar; Lengefeld; Longoria (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0).

         At 1:10 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
