         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 14, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Corrections met in a public hearing and was called  
         to order by the chair, Representative Haggerty, at 9:04 a.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Haggerty; Staples; Allen; Ellis, Dan;  
                   Gray; Lengefeld (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Culberson; Farrar; Longoria (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Testimony was taken on special needs parole and parole  
         guidelines .  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 10:50 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
