         Upon final recess 
         House Chamber, Desk 56 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 22,  
         1999, the House Committee on County Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Acting Chair,  
         Representative Glenn Lewis at 4:20 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Lewis, Glenn; Brown, Betty; Farabee;  
                   Krusee; Swinford (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Ramsay; Chisum; Hilderbran; Salinas  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         (Representative Chisum now present.) 
          
         HB2259 
          
         The chair recalled HB2259 from subcommittee.   
          
         Representative Swinford offered a complete committee  
         substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Swinford moved that HB2259, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Lewis, Glenn; Brown, Betty;  
                        Chisum; Farabee; Krusee; Swinford (6). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Ramsay; Hilderbran; Salinas  
                        (3). 
          
         At 4:30 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the formal meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the  
         chair.
