                                CORRECTED MINUTES 
          
         On April 26, 1999, the House Committee on Economic Development  
         authorized the correction of the minutes for the meeting of  
         the House Committee on Economic Development held on March 31,  
         1999.  The following are the corrected minutes for that  
         meeting: 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on March 31,  
         1999, the House Committee on Economic Development met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Jim Solis at 11:12 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Solis, Jim; Van de Putte; Deshotel;  
                   Homer; Luna, Vilma; Seaman (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Keffer; McClendon; Yarbrough (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 3657 
          
         The chair recalled HB 3657 from subcommittee.   
          
         Representative Luna, Vilma offered a complete committee  
         substitute.   
          
         Representative Luna, Vilma offered an amendment to the  
         committee substitute.   
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection.   
          
         (Representatives Keffer and McClendon now present.)   
          
         The committee substitute, as amended, was adopted without  
         objection. 
          
         Representative Luna, Vilma moved that HB 3657, as substituted,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed.  The motion  
         prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Solis, Jim; Van de Putte;  
                        Deshotel; Homer; Keffer; Luna, Vilma;  
                        McClendon; Seaman (8). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
  
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representative Yarbrough (1). 
          
         The chair directed the staff to incorporate the amendments  
         into the committee substitute.   
          
         At 11:19 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
