         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 10, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Economic Development met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Jim Solis at  
         6:23 pm.

         The chair laid out SB 1391.   
          
         Representative Yarbrough moved that SB 1391 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and  
         Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Solis, Jim; Van de Putte;  
                        Deshotel; Homer; Keffer; Luna, Vilma;
