         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 4, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Ron Lewis at 8:35  
         am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         The chair recognized Representative Alexander to explain the  
         measure.

         measure.   
          
         Representative West, George "Buddy" moved that HB 1494 be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:
