         Pursuant to a notice posted on March 25, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Energy Resources met in a public hearing and was  
         called to order by the Chair, Representative Ron Lewis at 8:20  
         am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Lewis, Ron; Crabb; Driver; Merritt;  
                   West, George "Buddy"; Williams; Woolley (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hawley; Wilson (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 1624 
          
         The chair laid out HB 1624.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Chisum to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         (Representative Hawley now present.)   
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         The bill was left pending without objection. 
          
         At 9:50 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed subject to the call of the chair.   
          
         The committee reconvened at 1:30 pm and was called to order by  
         the chair, Representative Lewis, Ron.  The roll was answered  
         as follows:

                   George "Buddy"; Williams (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hawley; Merritt; Wilson; Woolley  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         The chair laid out HB 1624 as pending business.
