         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 13, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Environmental Regulation met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Chisum, at  
         1:15 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows: 
          
         Present:  Representatives Chisum; Allen; Howard; Kuempel;  
                   Talton; Zbranek (6). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Culberson; Dukes; Palmer (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Members of The Senate Natural Resources Committee present and  
         participating in the meeting included Senators Brown, Armbrister  
         and Haywood.  Senators Sibley and Shapiro were also present and  
         participating.  
          
         Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 5:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
