         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 24, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Financial Institutions met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Kip  
         Averitt at 3:06 pm.

         The chair laid out HB 366 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Ehrhardt moved that HB 366 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Averitt; Solomons; Denny;  
                        Ehrhardt; Elkins; Marchant; Solis, Juan (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0).

         HB 76 
          
         The chair laid out HB 76 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Solomons offered an amendment to the measure.   
          
         The amendment was adopted without objection.   
          
         Representative Elkins moved that HB 76, as amended, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:

                        Ehrhardt; Elkins; Marchant; Solis, Juan (7).
