         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 21, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Financial Institutions met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Kip  
         Averitt at 9:48 am.

         The chair laid out SB 1055.   
          
         Representative Ehrhardt moved that SB 1055 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and  
         Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Averitt; Denny; Ehrhardt;  
                        Grusendorf; Pitts; Solis, Juan (6). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0).

         The chair laid out SB 1155.   
          
         Representative Ehrhardt moved that SB 1155 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do
