The House Committee on Higher Education 76th Legislature April 13, 2000 10:00 a.m. Capitol Extension, E2.016 Pursuant to a notice posted on April 7, 2000, the House Committee on Higher Education met in a public hearing and was called to order by the chair, Representative Rangel, at 10:08 a.m. The roll was answered as follows: Present: Representatives Rangel, Irma; Brown, Fred; Farabee, David; Goolsby, Tony; Jones, Jesse; Reyna, Elvira (6). Absent: Representatives Cuellar, Henry; Morrison, Geanie; Wohlgemuth, Arlene (3). A quorum was present. (Representative Cuellar now present.) (Representative Wohlgemuth now present.) Testimony was taken on Interim Charge Two: Evaluate the satisfaction of professional and graduate school programs, the business community and general public with the preparation level of college graduates to determine what changes are needed in course offerings and preparation levels.
