         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 19, 1999, the House  
         Committee on State, Federal & International Relations met in a  
         formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Bob Hunter at 12:50 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Hunter; Moreno, Paul; Berman;  
                   Elkins; Jones, Charles; Madden; Solis, Juan (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Chavez; Isett (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 313 
          
         The chair laid out SB 313.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Juan Solis to explain the  
         measure.   
          
         The chair recognized Representative Juan Solis to close on the  
         measure.   
          
         Representative Berman moved that SB 313 be reported favorably  
         to the full house with the recommendation that it do pass and  
         be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and Consent  
         Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Hunter; Moreno, Paul; Berman;  
                        Elkins; Jones, Charles; Madden; Solis, Juan  
                        (7). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Chavez; Isett (2). 
          
         At 12:55 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
