Absent: Representatives Moreno, Paul; Chavez; Elkins; Jones, Charles (4). A quorum was present. Testimony was taken from the Texas Veteran's Commission (See attached witness list.) (Representative Chavez now present.) Testimony was taken from the Texas Coalition of Veterans. (See attached witness list.) At 11:25 a.m., on the motion of the chair and without objection, the meeting was recessed until 12:30 p.m., March 8, 2000. The committee reconvened at 12:40 p.m. and was called to order by the chair, Representative Hunter.
