Pursuant to a notice posted on March 4, 1999, the House
Committee on Insurance met in a public hearing and was called
to order by the Chair, Representative John Smithee at 11:53
am.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Smithee; Lewis, Glenn; Olivo;
Seaman; Thompson (5).
Absent: Representatives Eiland; Burnam; Moreno, Joe; Wise
(4).
A quorum was present.
After the roll was called, the chair explained that all of the
scheduled bills would be laid out and that any person present
who wished to testify could do so on any bill before the
committee.
