         Upon adjournment 
         House Chamber 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on April 29,  
         1999, the House Committee on Insurance met in a formal meeting  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative John  
         Smithee at 4:43 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Smithee; Burnam; Lewis, Glenn;  
                   Moreno, Joe; Olivo; Thompson; Wise (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Eiland; Seaman (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         HB 2495 
          
         The chair laid out HB 2495 as pending business.  A substitute  
         for HB 2495, by Moreno, Joe, had been previously adopted on  
         April 22, 1999 by the committee.   
          
         Representative Moreno, Joe moved that HB 2495, as substituted,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to  
         the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion  
         prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Burnam; Lewis, Glenn; Moreno,  
                        Joe; Olivo; Thompson; Wise (6). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      Representative Smithee (1). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Eiland; Seaman (2). 
          
         At 4:45 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
