         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 9, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Juvenile Justice & Family Issues met in a public  
         hearing and was called to order by the Chair, Representative  
         Toby Goodman at 1:15 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Goodman; Pickett; Isett; King, Phil;  
                   Morrison; Naishtat; Reyna, Arthur; Reyna, Elvira;  
                   Truitt (9). 
          
         Absent:   None (0). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         The Committee was called to hear testimony from state agencies  
         on topics of interest to the members. 
          
          Testimony was taken.  (See attached witness list.) 
          
         At 4:00 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
