         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 14,  
         1999, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in  
         a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Gary Walker at 9:16 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Walker; Bosse; Hardcastle; Krusee;  
                   Turner, Bob (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Crabb; Brown, Fred; Howard; Mowery  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 396 
          
         The chair laid out SB 396 as pending business.   
          
         Representative Krusee offered a complete committee substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Krusee moved that SB 396, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Walker; Bosse; Hardcastle;  
                        Krusee; Turner, Bob (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Crabb; Brown, Fred; Howard;  
                        Mowery (4). 
          
         SB 1443 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1443.   
          
         Representative Hardcastle moved that SB 1443 be reported  
         favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do  
         pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on Local and  
         Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the following  
         vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Walker; Bosse; Hardcastle;  
                        Krusee; Turner, Bob (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Crabb; Brown, Fred; Howard;

         At 9:18 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
