         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 20,  
         1999, the House Committee on Land & Resource Management met in  
         a formal meeting and was called to order by the Chair,  
         Representative Gary Walker at 9:10 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Walker; Crabb; Bosse; Hardcastle;  
                   Turner, Bob (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Brown, Fred; Howard; Krusee; Mowery  
                   (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1896 
          
         The chair laid out SB 1896.   
          
         Representative Bosse offered a complete committee substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Hardcastle moved that SB 1896, as substituted,  
         be reported favorably to the full house with the  
         recommendation that it do pass and be printed and be sent to  
         the Committee on Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion  
         prevailed by the following vote:   
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Walker; Crabb; Bosse;  
                        Hardcastle; Turner, Bob (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Brown, Fred; Howard; Krusee;  
                        Mowery (4). 
          
         At 9:12 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
