         Pursuant to a notice posted on August 15, 2000, the House  
         Committee on Land & Resource Management met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the chair, Representative Walker, at  
         1:00 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

         A quorum was present.
