Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 17,
1999, the House Committee on Natural Resources met in a formal
meeting and was called to order by the Chair, Representative
David Counts, at 4:06 p.m.
The roll was answered as follows:
Present: Representatives Counts; King, Tracy; Cook; Lewis,
Ron; Walker (5).
Absent: Representatives Corte; Hamric; Puente; Shields (4).
A quorum was present.
HR 910
Representative Ron Lewis moved to reconsider the vote by which
the measure was reported from committee. The motion to
reconsider prevailed without objection. This action was taken
due to lack of a certified copy at the initial meeting in
order to repeat the action that the committee took in that
meeting.
Representative Lewis, Ron moved that HR 910 be reported
favorably to the full house with the recommendation that it do
pass and be printed. The motion prevailed by the following
vote:
Ayes: Representatives Counts; King, Tracy; Cook;
Lewis, Ron; Walker (5).
Nays: None (0).
Present not Voting: None (0).
Absent: Representatives Corte; Hamric; Puente; Shields
(4).
Groundwater Conservation Districts
(Representatives Hamric and Puente now present.)
The subject of the creation of groundwater conservation
districts was discussed.
At 5:00 p.m., on the motion of the chair and without
objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of
the chair.
