         Pursuant to a notice posted on February 18, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Pensions & Investments met in a public hearing  
         and was called to order by the Chair, Representative Sherri  
         Greenberg at 8:15 am. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:

                   Rangel; Telford; Williams (7). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives George; Salinas (2). 
          
         A quorum was present.

         At 9:34 am, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was recessed until 30 minutes after adjournment. 
          
         The committee reconvened at 12:18 pm and was called to order  
         by the chair, Representative Greenberg.  The roll was answered  
         as follows:

                   Salinas (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Tillery; Rangel; Telford; Williams  
                   (4).
