         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 14, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Al Edwards at  
         4:18 p.m.. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Edwards; Chavez; Berman; Brown,  
                   Betty; George; Palmer; Truitt; Wise (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Burnam; Moreno, Joe; Zbranek (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         A motion was made by Representative Betty Brown to accept the  
         list of resolutions presented by Chairman Edwards to be placed  
         on the Rules and Resolutions calendar for Friday, April 23,  
         1999. The motion was second by Representative George.      
          
         Ayes:          Representatives Edwards; Chavez; Berman; Brown,  
                        Betty; George; Palmer; Truitt; Wise (8). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Burnam; Moreno, Joe; Zbranek  
                        (3). 
          
         The motion carried. At 4:25 p.m., on the motion of Vice-Chair  
         Chavez and without objection, the meeting was adjourned  
         subject to the call of the chair.
