         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 27, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Al Edwards at  
         4:29 p.m. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Edwards; Chavez; Brown, Betty;  
                   Burnam; George; Moreno, Joe; Palmer; Truitt; Wise  
                   (9). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Berman; Zbranek (2). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         Representative Truitt made a motion to accept the resolutions  
         presented by Chairman Edwards.  The motion was seconded by  
         Representative Betty Brown.  The motion carried.  The meeting  
         was adjourned by Chairman Edwards.
