House Committee on Rules & Resolutions 
         76th Legislature

         Upon lunch recess 
         House Chamber 
          
         Pursuant to a notice posted on May 20, 1999, the House  
         Committee on Rules & Resolutions met in a formal meeting and  
         was called to order by the Chair, Representative Al Edwards  
         upon lunch recess. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
          
         Present:  Representatives Edwards; Chavez; Berman; Brown,  
                   Betty; Burnam; Moreno, Joe; Palmer; Truitt (8). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives George; Wise; Zbranek (3). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         There was a motion to accept resolutions received by Chairman  
         Edwards for the Friday, May 28, 1999 calendar and for the  
         Monday, May 31, 1999 calendar.  The motion was seconded, and  
         carried.  On the motion of Representative Truitt and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of  
         the chair.
