         Pursuant to a notice posted on April 5, 2000, the House  
         Committee on State Affairs, Subcommittee on Lobby Influence, met  
         in a public hearing and was called to order by the acting chair,  
         Representative McCall, at 10:18 a.m. 
          
         Present:  Representatives Longoria; McCall; Merritt (3). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Hilbert; Bailey; Craddick; Danburg;  
                   Jones, Delwin (5). 
          
         Testimony was taken on the subject of revolving door laws. (See  
         attached witness list.) 
          
         (Representative Jones, Delwin now present.) 
          
         Testimony was taken on the subjects of revolving door laws,  
         current lobbying laws, and perspectives on the lobby. (See  
         attached witness list.) 
          
         At 12:33 p.m., on the motion of the acting chair and without  
         objection, the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the
