House Committee on Urban Affairs 
         76th Legislature 
         May 21, 1999 
         Upon final recess 
         House Chamber, Desk #46 
          
         Pursuant to an announcement from the house floor on May 21,  
         1999, the House Committee on Urban Affairs met in a formal  
         meeting and was called to order by the Acting Chair,  
         Representative Ehrhardt at 7:30 pm. 
          
         The roll was answered as follows:   
         Present:  Representatives Burnam; Edwards; Ehrhardt; Hodge;  
                   Najera (5). 
          
         Absent:   Representatives Carter; Bailey; Clark; Hill (4). 
          
         A quorum was present. 
          
         SB 1703 
         The chair recalled SB 1703 from subcommittee.   
          
         Representative Hodge offered a complete committee substitute.   
          
         The committee substitute was adopted without objection. 
          
         Representative Burnam moved that SB 1703, as substituted, be  
         reported favorably to the full house with the recommendation  
         that it do pass and be printed and be sent to the Committee on  
         Local and Consent Calendars.  The motion prevailed by the  
         following vote:   
         Ayes:          Representatives Burnam; Edwards; Ehrhardt;  
                        Hodge; Najera (5). 
          
         Nays:          None (0). 
          
         Present not Voting:      None (0). 
          
         Absent:        Representatives Carter; Bailey; Clark; Hill  
                        (4). 
          
         At 7:34 pm, on the motion of the chair and without objection,  
         the meeting was adjourned subject to the call of the chair.
