Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.11, an open meeting of the Senate Committee on
Administration was held on Monday, February 1, 1999 in E1.714,
at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 2:10 pm. There being
a quorum present, the following business was transacted.
The following members arrived after the roll was called:
Senator Florence Shapiro
Senator John Whitmire
Senator Harris passed the gavel to Senator Madla. Senator
Madla recognized Senator Harris to make a motion. Senator
Harris moved to approve the revised budget for Health Services
and all other committee budgets along with all requests for
salary exceptions for the period of 2/1/99 through 8/31/99.
Senator Ellis seconded the motion. The motion passed 5 ayes,
0 nays.
There being no further business, at 2:15 pm Senator Harris
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
the Chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
