Pursuant to a notice posted in accordance with Senate Rule
11.11, a public hearing of the Senate Committee on
Administration was held on Tuesday, March 9, 1999 in E1.714,
at Austin, Texas.

The Chair called the meeting to order at 8:40 am. There being
a quorum present, the following business was transacted.
The following members arrived after the roll was called:
Senator Rodney Ellis
Senator John Whitmire
Senator Harris directed the members to the minutes from the
2/24/99 and 2/25/99 Administration Committee meetings.
Senator Madla moved approval.
Senator Harris stated that he wanted to hold SB 786 for
another week. No action taken.
Senator Harris asked if there were any questions or discussion
on any of the bills listed for certification on the Local and
Uncontested Calendar. Senator Ellis moved to certify all
the bills on the list. The motion carried with a vote of 5
ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent.
There being no further business, at 8:49 am Senator Harris
moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of
the Chair. Without objection, it was so ordered.
