There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Florence Shapiro Senator Harris directed the members to the minutes from the March 16, 1999 Administration Committee meeting. Senator Madla moved adoption. There being no objections the minutes were adopted. Senator Harris passed the gavel to Senator Madla. The Chair laid out SB 1369 and recognized the author, Senator Harris, to explain the bill. Steven R. Collins, representing Texas Legislative Council, testified in favor of the bill. Christopher Griesel, representing Texas Legislative Council, registered on the bill but did not testify. Mike Marshall, representing Texas Legislative Council, registered on the bill but did not testify. Senator Harris moved that SB 1369 be left pending; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Madla moved to certify all the bills on the list with the exception of SB 404, to be left pending, and SB 606 which the author pulled. Senator Harris announced the Local Calendar for 9:00am on Thursday, March 25, 1999 and the next Administration Committee meeting for 8:00am on Thursday, March 25, 1999. There being no further business, at 9:06 am Senator Harris moved that the Committee stand recessed subject to the call of the Chair.
