There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The Chairman laid out the subcommittee report on SB 697 and recognized Senator Duncan to explain the bill. The Chairman moved that SB 697 be left pending to await a quorum; without objection it was so ordered. Upon arrival of a quorum, Senator Carona moved that SB 697 be reported back to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 2 absent. The Chairman laid out SB 1274 and recognized the author, Senator Wentworth. Senator Madla sent up a committee substitute; the Chairman recognized Senator Wentworth to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the bill as filed.
