The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Lindsay. The Chair laid out SB 713 and recognized the author, Senator Ogden, to explain the bill. The Chair laid out SJR 21 and recognized the author, Senator Carona, to explain the bill. The Committee recessed at 9:30 a.m. At 6:00 p.m., the Committee reconvened and resumed the public hearing on SB 713. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. At the request of the Chair, SB 713 was left pending. At 6:30 p.m. Senator Moncrief assumed the chair. The Committee resumed the public hearing on SJR 21. Witnesses testifying and registering on SJR 21 are shown on the attached list. At the request of the Chair, SJR 21 was left pending. At 6:46 p.m. Senator Truan assumed the chair. The Chair laid out SB 182 and recognized the author, Senator Nixon, to explain the bill. Senator Moncrief sent up a committee substitute; the Chair recognized Senator Nixon to explain the difference between the committee substitute and the bill as filed.
