Brown Senator David Bernsen Senator Eddie Lucio, Jr. Senator Drew Nixon ***** The Chair called the meeting to order at 9:05 a.m. There being a quorum present, the following business was transacted. The following members arrived after the roll was called: none. Senator Nixon moved that the minutes from the previous meeting be approved, without objection it was so ordered. The Chair laid out SB 401 and recognized the author, Senator Brown, to explain the bill. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that SB 401 be reported favorably to the full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass. The motion carried with a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Brown requested that the full Committee place SB 401 on the Local and Uncontested Calender. The Chair agreed make the request for Senator Brown when he presents the Subcommittee report to the full Committee. The Chair laid out SB 735 and recognized Senator Lucio, Jr., in the absence of the author, to explain the bill. At 9:12 a.m. Senator Brown assumed the chair. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. Senator Lucio, Jr. moved that SB 735 be reported favorably to the full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass. The motion carried with a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 1 present not voting, and 0 absent. The Chair laid out SB 298 and recognized the author, Senator Armbrister, to explain the bill. At 9:31 a.m. Senator Lucio, Jr. assumed the chair. At 9:32 a.m. Senator Cain resumed the chair. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list.
