The following members arrived after the roll was called: none. Senator Nixon moved that the minutes from the previous meetings be approved, without objection, it was so ordered. The Chair laid out HB 1425 and recognized the Senate sponsor, Senator Nixon, to explain the bill. Senator Nixon moved that HB 1425 be reported favorably to the full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass. The motion carried with a vote of 5 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 0 absent. Senator Nixon requested that the full Committee place HB 1425 on the Local and Uncontested Calender. The Chair agreed to make the request for Senator Lucio when the subcommittee report is presented to the full Committee. Senator Cain moved that HB 2760 do not pass but that CSHB 2760 be reported back to the full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass.
