         Pursuant to suspension of Senate Rule 11.11, a public hearing  
         of the Senate Committee on Nominations was held on Friday, May  
         21, 1999, at Senator Wentworth's desk, Senate Chamber, State  
         Capitol, Austin, Texas.

         The Chairman called the meeting to order at 4:40 p.m.  There  
         being a quorum present, the following business was transacted.   
          
         The following member arrived after the roll was called: 
         Senator Tom Haywood. 
          
         The Chairman laid out the names of the nominees to the Texas  
         State Board of  Physical Therapy 
         Examiners that were left pending at the May 19th hearing:   
         Harvey D. Aikman, Mark G. Cowart, Mary R. Daulong, Cynthia  
         Fisher, Sylvia A. Davila, Holly R. Hall, Michael G. Hines and  
         Dr. Mary Thompson. 
          
         Senator Jackson moved to recommend to the full Senate that  
         Harvey D. Aikman, Sylvia A. Davila, Holly R. Hall, Michael G.  
         Hines and Dr. Mary Thompson be confirmed as Members of the  
         Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. 
          
         The motion carried with a vote of 6 ayes and 0 nays. 
          
         There being no further business, at 4:45 p.m. Chairman  
         Wentworth announced that the Committee would stand recessed  
  
         subject to the call of the Chairman.
