The following business was transacted. The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Kenneth Armbrister The Chair laid out SB774 and recognized the author, Senator Lucio, Jr., to explain the bill. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. Senator Armbrister moved that SB 774 be reported favorably to the full committee. The motion carried with 2 ayes, 0nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The Chair laid out SB 992 and recognized the author, Senator Lucio, Jr., to explain the bill. Senator Armbrister sent up a Committee Substitute and Senator Lucio explained the differences, and moved its adoption; without objection; the Substitute was adopted. Senator Armbrister moved to roll amendment 1 into the committee substitute; hearing no objection it was so ordered. Senator Armbrister moved adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Armbrister moves that SB 1430 do not pass but that CSSB 1430 be reported favorably back to Full Committee be with the recommendation that it do pass. The motion carried with a vote of 2 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. The Chair laid out SB 1532 and recognized the author, Senator Carona, to explain the bill. Senator Armbrister sent up a committee substitute; the Chair recognized Senator Carona to explain the differences between the committee substitute and the bill as filed. Senator Armbrister move adoption of the committee substitute; without objection, it was so ordered. Witnesses testifying and registering on the bill are shown on the attached list. Senator Armbrister moved that SB 1532 do not pass but that CSSB 1532 be reported favorably back to Full Committee with the recommendation that it do pass. The motion carried with a vote of 2 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. Senator Armbrister moved that the Minutes from the previous hearing be adopted. There being no objection it was so ordered. There being no further business, Senator Armbrister moved the Committee be adjourned.
