The following members arrived after the roll was called: Senator Lindsay and Senator Nixon. The Chair laid out the April 13,1999, minutes and recognized Senator Moncrief who moved for their approval. There being no objection, the motion prevailed by unanimous consent. At 1:39 p.m., Senator Moncrief assumed the chair. Senator Nelson moved that SB 1207, as amended, be left pending for a revised fiscal note; without objection, it was so ordered. Senator Nixon now absent. The Chair recognized Senator Madla who moved to bring SB 1614 back up for consideration; there being no objection, the bill which was left pending was brought up for re-consideration. Senator Moncrief moved to reconsider his motion to adopt a committee substitute to SB 1614; there being no objection, he withdrew his motion to adopt the committee substitute. Senator Madla moved that SB 1614 be reported favorably to the Senate with the recommendation that it do pass and be printed. The motion carried with a vote of 4 ayes, 0 nays, 0 present not voting, and 1 absent. No action was taken on SB 1618. There being no further business, at 5:50 p.m., Senator Lindsay moved that the Committee stand recessed, subject to the call of the Chair.
