The Committee will meet to consider the following Interim Charges:

(1) Examine public policy issues associated with mandatory
    "hospitalist" programs in managed care; and

(2) Conduct active oversight of the agencies under the Committee's
    jurisdiction.

The Committee will also hear testimony regarding the recent
agreement between Aetna U.S. Healthcare and the Attorney General
concerning appropriate guidelines for HMO operations in Texas.
