The committee will meet to consider the following affordable housing
Interim Charges and related matters:

1) The Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) will
report on the data that they are using in order to make decisions
affecting affordable housing.  TDHCA will report on the steps they
are taking in order to determine the adequacy of the data as it relates
to the scope, timeliness and accuracy of information.

2)  Review the manufactured housing standards, state statutes and
other related matters as one means to alleviate affordable housing
deficits.

3)  Conduct oversight of the agencies under the committee's
jurisdiction as it relates to the Texas Department of Housing and
Community Affairs (TDHCA) and Texas State Affordable Housing
Corporation (TSAHC), including Sunset recommendations released on
April 20, 2000.

Included among the Invited Testimony is TDHCA Executive Director Daisy
Stiner and other TDHCA officials, and TSAHC President & CEO
Mike Sullivan and other TSAHC officials.

Public testimony will also be welcomed.
